Vodavi DHS User Name Programming Instructions


To make changes in the customer database, you must enter Database Programming from any idle Executive Display Telephone.

 

To enter Database Programming press

FEAT # *

 

The display prompts for the DB PSWD (database password). The six-digit default password is 000000. Enter the six digit password.

Press the center Soft button corresponding to the show seen on the display.

The display shows the first customer database programming category "System Type." Press the center Soft button corresponding to the next seen on the display. You will need to press next four times to get to the RESOURCE heading.

The display should read: 4. RESOURCE at this time. Press the right Soft button, show.

Now press the center Soft button, next, 9 times until the "User Names" heading appears.

The display should read: USER NAMES at this time. Press the right Soft button, show.

The display will now prompt you for the station number that you wish to change. This is the number that appears on the bottom right-hand side of the LCD display, when a phone is on-hook. Enter the two digit station number and then press show.

Spell the name 7 letter name using the numerical keypad. Multiple depressions of the dial pad keys cause different alphabet characters to appear. Use the "0" key for the letters Q and Z. Use the "#" key to move to the next letter position. (Refer to the table below for reference.)

 

When the "*" key is pressed before any dial key is pressed the numeral of the dial key will be displayed in this character position. When it is pressed after a letter has been selected for this character, the selected letter is forced to lower case.



For example: To program the name for Station 11 to be "Leslie" you would do the following from the "Show Sta:" screen

To program another station press the HOLD button

When finished programming, press CLEAR
